Terms of Service

Last updated 13 October 2026

These are the terms for using ReviewGun. They are written in plain English on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it.

What ReviewGun is

ReviewGun helps you ask your customers for a Google review. You enter a customer's name and mobile number, ReviewGun writes the request and opens it in your own messaging app, and you tap send from your own number.

That last part matters: ReviewGun does not send text messages for you, does not give you a phone number, and does not contact your customers itself. Everything that goes out, goes out from your own phone.

ReviewGun is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Google. Your reviews live on your own Google Business Profile, and Google's own policies apply to them.

Your account

You need an account to use ReviewGun. Keep your login details to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account.

On the Pro plan you can invite your technicians, and each of them gets their own login. The account and the subscription belong to the business owner who signed up, and the owner can remove a technician's access at any time.

Free trial, billing and renewals

  • Every plan starts with a 3-day free trial. A card is required to start the trial so the plan can continue without interruption if you decide to stay.
  • If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
  • If you do not cancel, your plan continues at Starter ($29/month) or Pro ($59/month) once the trial ends, and then renews automatically every month.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to them, not to us — we never see or store your full card number.
  • If we ever change a price, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before it does.

Changing plans and cancelling

You can switch between Starter and Pro, or cancel, at any time from the billing section of your dashboard. No phone call and no email required.

Switching plans is prorated by our payment provider, so you are charged the difference for the rest of the current month rather than a full second subscription.

When you cancel, your plan stops renewing. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and your data stays available if you decide to come back.

What we ask of you

  • Only send review requests to people you have actually done business with. ReviewGun is not a marketing list tool, and using it to text strangers is a breach of these terms.
  • Follow the messaging laws that apply where you work — including consent rules for texting your customers — and do not send unsolicited messages.
  • Do not offer payment, discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews, and do not filter, gate or hide reviews. Both are against Google's policies, and ReviewGun cannot help you do either.
  • Keep the wording you send honest. The template is yours to edit, and it is your name on the message.
  • Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or resell the service.

The customer details you enter

You are the one entering your customers' names and mobile numbers. You confirm you have the right to contact those customers, and that you are contacting them about work you did for them.

We store those details so you can see your request history and so the service works. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to contact your customers ourselves. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

No guarantee of results

ReviewGun makes asking for a review quick and easy. It cannot make your customers leave one. We do not promise a particular number of reviews, a particular star rating, or any effect on how your business ranks in Google search.

Reviews depend on your work and your customers. What we control is how little effort it takes to ask.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep ReviewGun running reliably, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, and we may occasionally take it offline for maintenance.

Features may change over time. If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where it matters to you, email you about it.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time as described above. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used to spam people, or is used to gate or buy reviews.

If we close your account for a reason other than a breach, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.

Limits of our liability

To the extent the law allows, ReviewGun is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business opportunities, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
