For electricians

Google review software for electricians

An electrician is judged on trust, not on what a customer can see. The work disappears behind plasterboard the moment the cover goes back on, and the person who hired you has no way to tell good work from bad — so they read what everybody else wrote.

Why reviews decide the job before you quote it

Your work disappears behind the wall

A consumer unit, a rewire, a fault found in a ring main — once the plaster is back, there is nothing for a homeowner to look at. Reviews are the only lasting evidence that the job was done properly, and they are what the next customer reads before they let anybody into the house.

You are being let into the house

Giving a stranger access to your home, around your family, is a bigger decision than the price of the job. Recent, specific reviews are how a homeowner decides you are safe to have in the kitchen all afternoon while they are at work.

The small job is never asked about

A socket swap or a hour of fault-finding pays little, so nobody thinks to ask. Those calls are your volume, though — and volume is what keeps a review count recent instead of showing the same four reviews from two years ago.

How it works on a real job

  1. 1Save your setup once

    Business name, Google review link, and the wording you want to send. Thirty seconds, on a phone, once.

  2. 2Type a name and number

    Or tap a recent customer, and their text is written for you already. No retyping an address or a number you sent to last week.

  3. 3Send it from your own phone

    The message opens in your own Messages app with the link in place. Your customer gets a normal text from a number they recognise.

Everything happens on the phone in your pocket. There is nothing for your customer to install, and nothing for your crew to set up.

Texts that work for electricians

Pick one of these when you set up your account, or write your own. Every one uses the same placeholders, so the customer's name and your review link fill themselves in.

After a board change or rewire
Hi {first_name}, thanks for trusting us with the rewire. If you are happy with how it went, a short Google review would mean a lot to us: {review_link}
After a small job
Hi {first_name}, thanks for having us round today. No rush at all — if you get a minute, a Google review helps neighbours find us: {review_link}

Questions electricians ask us

Will customers review a job they cannot see?
Yes, and they are usually specific about it. Homeowners review how you turned up, how you explained the fault and whether you left the place tidy — the parts they can judge. Ask once the power is back on and you have walked them through what you found.
Is it worth asking after a small job?
It is worth more than after any other kind. Small jobs are your volume, homeowners are just as willing to leave a line about them, and recent reviews are what a new customer sees first. Skipping them is how a review count goes stale.
Should I ask on an emergency call-out at night?
Send it that evening, worded without pressure. Most people leave the review the following morning — they simply will not do it if nobody asked. What you should not do is chase them, because the goodwill is worth more than the review.
